1. Open File Manager .......> click three lines (options) at the top left corner.......> click settings in that ......> enable the show hidden file option

This will enable the option of the phone to show hidden files in your phone. Phone have many hidden files which are usually starting the name with a (.) dot.

2. Open File Manager......> open the folder view.......> open the folder named whatsapp........> open folder named media.......> Open folder named .statuses

You can see the videos and pictures which you saw as status of your friends.

3. Select the video or picture you like and copy paste it where you want.

Now you got the whatsapp status without any application or internet. I explained the technique for the redmi phones and the same can be do in other phones too. The settings and the environment is only the different among phones.
